From First Call to Finished Kitchen
Replacing a benchtop usually means juggling a stone supplier, a plumber, an electrician and a tiler, and hoping they all turn up in the right order. With Brisbane Benchtops you deal with one licensed team that manages the whole job, from the first conversation to the final clean. Here is exactly what to expect when you work with us.
1. Explore Call
Every job starts with a short call. You tell us about your kitchen, what you’d like to change and your timing, and we ask the questions that matter: the layout, the existing benchtop, the sink and cooktop, and any extras like splashbacks or painting. Photos and plans help, but you don’t need everything sorted before we talk. At the end of the call, we book a time to walk you through your proposal.
2. Choosing the Right Stone
Selecting the right stone for your project can be a daunting task, especially these days with so many suppliers and so many choices available. A good place to start is by viewing some of our key supply partners’ ranges. What is most important is that you have a range of options in mind.
That range could be a particular colour or look (marble look, faux concrete, or something with a bit of fleck and sparkle), a particular brand (Caesarstone, Smartstone, YDL etc.), or a property your new benchtop needs to have (outdoor stable, lightweight or a more affordable option).
Anything you can do to narrow the scope will save you time and frustration. Once you have gone as far as you can, it is time to get in touch with Brisbane Benchtops. You have two choices:

- If you would like some help, contact us and we will make a time to meet you in person, over the phone or online. We can bring samples to your home, or you can visit our Geebung showroom, where we hold samples from all of our supply partners in one place.
3. Your Proposal
We don’t send a price on a page and leave you to work it out. We walk you through your proposal on a short video call, covering the stone, the edges, the cut-outs and every trade involved. Each inclusion is listed, so you can compare us with anyone else line by line. Any questions get answered on the spot, and you decide when you’re ready.
4. Securing Your Spot
Once you’re happy to go ahead, payments are split into three stages:
- 50% deposit to secure your stone and your place in the production queue
- 40% once your benchtop is ready to install, at least three days before installation
- 10% held until the job is finished and you’re happy with it. If something isn’t right, we come back and fix it before that final payment.
Finance is available through Finapps if you’d prefer to spread the cost.
5. Rip Out and Templating
On the agreed day, our team carefully removes your old benchtop, protecting your cabinetry and floors as we go. The fabricator then laser templates your kitchen for an exact fit, with Warren on site to check every measurement and detail before your stone is cut.
6. Fabrication, Installation and Trades
Most stone benchtops are fabricated within 3 to 10 business days of templating. Porcelain can take up to three weeks. On installation day, your benchtop is fitted, and we coordinate the licensed plumber and electrician to disconnect and reconnect your sink, tapware and cooktop. If your job includes a splashback, tiling, painting or plastering, that’s organised by us too. You never need to chase a trade.
7. Handback
Before we leave, we walk you through the finished job and clean up. Once you’re happy, the final 10% is due. Then all that’s left is to enjoy your new kitchen.

Engineered stone, also called quartz, reconstituted or composite stone, is crushed stone bound with resins and pigments into a hard, consistent surface. Since the ban on traditional high-silica engineered stone, leading brands now make zero crystalline silica engineered stone, which gives you the same look and durability.
